In April 2001 The Boeing corporation announced the move of its Headquarters from Seattle to Chicago by October of the same year. I moved to Chicago as a part of the design team to accomplish the seemingly impossible task. We were expected to design and build the top fifteen floors of a high-rise in the heart of Chicago's downtown, with offices, executive suites, a television & media center, a gymnasium, board rooms, a retail store, an executive kitchen, and dining facilities in six months.
