HanaHaus builds on the tradition of cafe culture worldwide where a vibrant exchange of idea's has played a vital role in defining the artistic, scientific, political, economic life of our civilization.
HanaHaus aspires to be the cultural and intellectual locus for the community of creative individuals involved in the building of software applications to solve complex problems for the greater good.
LLOYDS started in 1686 as a public cafe to become global clearinghouse for maritime insurance underwriting even today.
Its success can be traced to the unique services its owner, Edward Lloyd, provided at the cafe for a niche clientele, making it a popular place for sailors, merchants, and others in the shipping industry to meet.
HanaHaus will bestow new life and new purpose, into a historic landmark property - the "New Varsity Theater" in the urban & cultural geography of the City of Palo Alto.
Congruent with Palo Alto's status today as the global center for entrepreneurial innovation in software technology. The historic Varsity theater will be reborn as the first in a series of communities of purpose. Public cafe's at centers of innovation across the world, each seamlessly connected with its counterparts in Shanghai, Berlin, London, Bangalore and elsewhere.
Ornate Art Deco movie poster frames in the courtyard and the theater lobby have been given new life with posters celebrating HanaHaus, and inspired by the Bauhaus movement where Hanahaus gets part of its name.
The new posters brand HanaHaus by using verbs that describe the activities that can occur at HanaHaus for the titles and tag lines of the new posters.
